St. Benedict’s Prep Gray Bees’ Mounir Hima Commits to D-1 Duquesne

St. Benedict’s Preparatory School’s Mounir Hima has committed to Division-1 Duquesne  University (Pittsburg, PA) basketball team, he announced on Twitter today.

Hima had offers from a number of D-1 colleges, including Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Robert Morris, St. Bonaventure, and Virginia Commonwealth University, per NJ.com. But went with Duquesne in the end.

NJHoops.com selected the 6-foot-11, 220 pound center to its New Jersey high school basketball All-Big Man First Team.

Hima played in 11 games in the 2019-20 season, scoring 48 points and grabbing 47 rebounds and only one contests as a junior.

Hima also played for St. Mary as a sophomore, seeing limited action.

Hima possesses a high ceiling, and it will be exciting to see what he can do at the next level.

The Dukes went 21-9 overall and 11-7 in Atlantic 10 Conference play.
