Former Iowa forward Michael Baer is transferring to Siena (NY), as today he accepted a scholarship offer to play basketball and study for his MBA, he tweeted.
A grad transfer, Baer has two years of college hoops eligibility remaining.
More than an athlete, the 6-foot-7, 215-pound power forward is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
Baer averaged 3.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists on Bettendorf High School’s conference championship team that won 18 games in 2017.
The Sienna Saints posted a 12-5 overall mark and went 12-4 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) this past season.
