If New Dorp Girls’ varsity basketball team’s first game versus McKee Staten Island Tech was an indication of the things to come, it should be a productive season for the Lady Central Cougars.
New Dorp (0-1) routed the home team, MSIT (0-1), 63-16, Tuesday night to tip off their PSAL Class A season.
The Lady Central Cougars had three girls in double figures: Senior Isabella Gonzalez scored a game-best 17 points, freshman Jordanna Schrecker contributed 16 points, and senior Dior Dorsey added 12 in the victory.
Schrecker, who plays AAU basketball for Hoopers NY, also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out four assists.
New Dorp hosts Tottenville Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.
