Wagner Hoops’ Nicole Melious is Named a 2022 NY Gatorade Player of the Year Finalist

As many high school hoops insiders expected, junior guard Nicole Melious of the PSAL’s Wagner Girls’ High School Basketball program has been named a high school finalist for the 2022 New York Gatorade Player of the Year award, today World Exposure Report WBB Tweeted.

It is an honor given annually to each player, female and male, in each high school sport in each state.

Nicole Melious has a PSAL-leading 961 points. She now has 1918 high school career points.

Melious, who also suits up for the AAU Hoopers, has averaged 40.4 points,10 rebounds, and seven assists in 24 tilts so far this season.
