St, Joseph Hill Academy (Staten Island) senior forward Liz Bennett has committed to Division III University of Scranton Womens’ basketball program, today she Tweeted.
Bennett, a Staten Island native, had a breakout junior season, prompting a roster spot offer from Division III Franklin & Marshall College, visits with D2 Southeastern, and D3 Mount Saint Marey and New Paltz, among other college hoops interest.
The Royals recently received a commitment from another local product, Morris Catholic (N.J.) basketball’s Natalie Stoupakis.
Scranton is off to a 10-0 start, and will face George Fox Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Stevens Holiday Tournament, in Hoboken, N.J.
