The Dirty Birds of the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball have signed right-handed pitcher and Charleston native Austin Henrich for the upcoming 2023 season, the team recently announced via Twitter.
Henrich, 25, pitched last year for the Aigles de Trois-Rivières and Odgen, both of the Pioneer League, posting a 0-3 record across 20 innings of work in 10 games.
A former University of Charleston Golden Eagle, Henrich has recorded 0-4 record in two campaigns of pro baseball.
The Golden Eagles are off to a 4-4 start this season.
