Colonial High School rising senior Taylor Derkack has verbally committed to Division I UMass Womens’ basketball program, today she Tweeted.
Additionally, Derkack, who also suits up for AAU Philly Rise EYBL, held offers from Fordham, Buffalo, DePaul, Holy Cross, Murray State, St. John’s, Stony Brook, Manhattan, Lafayette, Delaware, Richmond, Saint Joe’s, Northeastern, Marshall and Monmouth.
Derkack led the Patriots in points (603), rebounds (380) and steals (113) in the 2022-23 season. Plus, the 5-foot-11 forward enjoyed an impressive sophomore campaign at Colonial, draining 514 points (2nd on the squad), as well as grabbing team-highs in rebounds (319) and steals (156) in the 2021-22 campaign.
The Minutemen posted a 27-7 record and went 13-3 in Atlantic 10 Conference action this past season.
