On Friday, June 23rd, at 7:05, the New York Yankees will be giving away a Derek Jeter Captain American-inspired bobblehead on Marvel Super Hero Night to the first 18,000 baseball fans through the gates at the New Yankees Stadium in their game against the Texas Rangers.
Appointed a Yankees captain on June 2003, Jeter batted .310 with 3465 hits, 260 longballs, 1311 RBI and 358 stolen bases in a storybook Hall of Fame career that spanned 20 seasons, all with the Yankees.
Additionally, the New Jersey-born shortstop earned the Rookie of the Year Award in 1996, as well as five World Series Championship rings. Plus, Jeter captured five Golden Gloves honors, and made 13 All Star Game appearances.
