Tawan Lewis of Frank J. Macchiarola High School (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has verbally committed to the Division I Monroe College Mustangs football program National Junior College Athletic Assocation (NJCAA), yesterday he Tweeted.

Tawan Lewis Commits to JUCO Monroe football.

Additionally, Lewis had offers from D2 Walsh and DIII Dubuque.

The 6-foot-5 senior wide receiver/tight end/defensive end put up big offensive (paced the PSAL B Conference in receptions) and defensive numbers, particularly in the Sharks’ 42-18 playoff win against Lafayette. Lewis caught six passes for 94 yards and a touchdown, and made seven tackles, three for a loss, while recording three sacks.

The Mustangs posted a 3-5 overall record and went 0-2 in their conference this past campaign.
