Millbrook HS, Hoopers NY’s Natalie Fox’s Recruitment Hits Fever Pitch with Syracuse Hoops Offer

What can you say about 6-foot-4 Millbrook High School and Hoopers NY basketball forward Natalie Fox?

The 2024 do-it-all phenom has been putting the high school and AAU basketball world on notice for some time now. Syracuse is the latest Division I women’s college basketball program to throw its hat into the recruiting ring, yesterday Hoopers NY Tweeted.

Natlie Fox continues to be white hot on the college basketball recruitment trail.

Fox averaged 23.1 points, 19.5 rebounds, 6.5 blocks and 4.5 assists in 12 contests in Insider Exposure’s Hoosier Heat, War Games and Summer Madness AAU basketball tournaments during the past week.

Hoppers NY 17U head coach Dan Melious gushed over his star player’s ability to step in for former Hooper NY star Nicole Melious, who is headed to La Salle University in the fall and continued the programs winning ways with her total team play and leadership skills.

“I am so proud of Natalie Fox,” Melious said. “She picked up where Nicole left off. She carries us on both ends and she’s also unselfish. If Grace (Ziogas) or Jordanna (Schrecker) are having a game, Natalie encourages them to shoot more.”

Now with a few players who have moved on to greener pastures, the basketball pundits expected Hoopers NY to take dip. But Fox has been one of the main reasons why the team has been able to keep the machine moving, Melious noted.

“This year, people said, after losing four D1 players, we would struggle,” he said. “Natlie is a main reason why we haven’t.”

With the D1 offer piling up, Melious said that the college that lands her will be in for a genuine treat. But not just for her hardwood abilities, but also for her character.

“She has about 45 offers, and whoever gets Natalie is going to be very lucky,” Melious said. “As great of a player she is, she’s even a better person.”

Syracuse posted a 20-13 overall record and went 9-9 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play.
