Ava Lamonica of Rutgers Prep (N.J.) and Jersey Gemz 15U EYBL squad has received a Division I offer from Division I Providence College, today she Tweeted. It was the rising sophomore’s first offer.
LaMonica scored 121 points and grabbed 159 rebounds in 29 games this past high school season.
Although young, LaMonica does not play scared at all. She is not afraid to initiate contact and can score after banging bodies. Furthermore, she continues to develop her overall game and will be more of a force in due course.
The Frias posted a 13-19 overall record and went 4-16 in Big East Conference action in the 2022-23 campaign.
