The Staten Island FerryHawks of the Atlantic League today have signed former Rutgers University baseball infielder Chris Brito, a Perth Amboy, New Jersey native, per their Tweet.
Britto batted .293 with 46 home runs and 200 RBI, both school records, along with a .413 OBP in his five-year career as a Scarlet Knight.
Additionally, Britto earned 2023 All-Big Ten Second Team honor.
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Britto played four seasons of varsity baseball at Perth Amboy High School, and was a three-time first team all-conference, all-division and all-area selection.
Rutgers posted a 33-23 overall record and went 14-10 in Big Ten action this past season.
