Notre Dame High School (N.J.) and Lady Dukes 16U Gold rising senior pitcher/infielder Emma Marchese has verbally committed to Division I Fairfield University softball program, today she Tweeted.
Marchese, a first team all-conference player, led the Irish with seven home runs and 25 RBI, while hitting .366 and slugging .746 in 71 at-bats last season. She also fired a 1.00 ERA (three earned runs) with 24 strikeouts in 21 innings of work.
The Stags posted a 22-25 overall record and went 11-9 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) in the 2023 campaign.
