Longtime New York Met first baseman and 1969 World Series champion Ed Kranepool will be making an appearance at Fairfield Properties Ballpark, home of the Atlantic League’s Long island Ducks, on Tuesday, August 8th, as the Ducks will take on the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.
Kranepool will throw out a ceremonial first pitch, followed by signing autographs for fans outside the Waddle In Shop to promote his new book, which will be available for purchase in the store. He will be signing autographs for the first three innings of the game.
Kranepool slugged 118 home runs and drove in 614 runs in 5436 at-bats in 1853 games in a career that spanned 18 seasons.
