It was a monumental recruiting day for Rutgers Prep High School and Exodus NYC 16U EYBL rising sophomore GiGi Battle, as she has picked up three Division I college basketball offers: Illinois, Miami and Ohio State.
Additionally, Battle holds offers from Ole Miss, Georgia, Arkansas, Arizona, Penn State, Syracuse. Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Maryland, Auburn, Northwestern, Princeton, Boston College and George Washington, per her mother, Tanya and her Twitter account.
Battle, who played on the 16U United States of America Basketball Junior National (USABJN) trials team in May, drained 297 points, grabbed 172 rebounds and made 50 steals in 30 games during the 2022-23 New Jersey girls’ high school basketball campaign.
The Buckeyes posted a 28-8 overall record and went 12-6 in Big 10 Conference play in the 2022-23 campaign.
