Zeynep Ozel of Blair Academy, Jersey Gemz Earns Sacred Heart Hoops Offer

Class of 2024 5-foot-8 guard Zeynep Ozel of Blair Academy (N.J.) and Jersey Gemz 17U Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) has picked up a Division I offer from Sacred Heart University Women’s basketball offer, today she Tweeted.

In addition to the Sacred Heart offer, Ozel holds one from Hofstra, as well as interest from several other programs. But, off an impressive AAU season with the Jersey Gemz, she is just hitting her stride, Therefore, more offers should be bouncing in, in due course.

Moreover, Ozel owns a slick handle, the ability to score in multiple ways, and above average decision-making skills.

Ozel, who is also an excellent student who sports a 5.5/6.0 GPA, drained 303 points, grabbed 84 rebounds, dished out 81 assists and made 36 steals in 27 tilts in the 2022-23 New Jersey Girls’ high school campaign.

The Poineers posted a 19-14 mark and went 12-4 in Northeast Conference (NEC) action last season.
