Honey Hunters’ Zachary Jarrett Joins 20/20 Club for Second Straight Season

Zachary Jarrett, an outfielder for the independent Gastonia Honey Hunters, has done it again, joining the 20-20 club (20 longballs, 20 stolen bases) for the second season in a row.

Zach Jarrett hits 20/20 club mark again.

Jarrett–the son and grandson of NASCAR racing legends Dale and Ned, respectively– joins Jake Skole as being only second player in Atlantic League history to achieve the feat.

Jarrett is now hitting .310 with 22 homeruns and 73 RBI with 22 base thefts in 355 at-bats through 92 games.

Jarrett gets his baseball chops from his other grandfather, Jasper Spears, who was a Minor League baseball player in the Brooklyn Dodgers organization.

Jarrett was member of the 20-20 club with 21 home runs and 31 stolen bases, to go along with 84 RBI and a .313 batting average as well as a .380 OBP in 416 at-bats in 117 contests last year.

The 28-year-old owns 37 homers and 167 RBI across his four-year affiliated minor career.

The Baltimore Orioles selected Jarrett in the 28th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.

Jarrett smacked 26 longballs and drove in 127 runs over three years as a UNC Charlotte 49er.
