The New York Merts made a few minor league roster moves today, promoting Kellum Clark to St. Lucie (Single-A) from the Florida Complex League Mets (rookie level), Dyron Campos and Fernando Villalobo were sent to the FCL Mets from St. Lucie, and 2023 pitchers Austin Troesser (4th-round) and Jack Wenninger (6th-round) were activated for their professional debuts, today the FCL Mets Tweeted.
Clark, 22, a 20th round 2023 MLB Draft pick, batted .308 with three RBI, a double, 10 walks and two stolen bases in 26 at-bats in 11 games with FCL Mets.
Campos, 22, hit .177 with two RBI, three runs scored and three bases on balls in 17 at bats in six contests with the FCL Mets and totaled a .179 average with five dingers and 25 runs batted in between three stops (Brooklyn, High-A, St. Lucie and FCL Mets) thus far in 2023.
Villalobo, 21, batted .110 with a homer, five RBI and three doubles in 118 in 44 tilts with St. Lucie.
Troesser, 21, who today will make his first pro start for FCL Mets, posted an 8-5 mark with a 4.98 ERA in 77.2 innings of work in three years with the Division I Missouri Tigers.
Wenninger, 21, went 11-12 with a 5.03 ERA in 166.1 frames in three seasons with Illinois.
