PSAL Football to Hold High-Action Non-League Games this Week


The Public School Athletic League (PSAL) continues its second week of non-league action, as teams play on Friday and Saturday of this week before the regular season gets underway next week. 

Here are 11 games going on throughout New York City, even with a Catholic League squad mixed into the fold.

Two Queens schools, Bayside High School (AAAA) and Holy Cross (CHSAA), at Bayside Saturday at noon. 

August Martin High School (A) travels to AAA Christopher Columbus Campus (The Bronx) at 12:p.m.

Double-A A. Philip Randolph (0-1) at James Madison High School (AAAA) in Brooklyn Saturday at noon. 

Long Island City High School tackles William C. Bryant Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at home. 

New Utrecht (AAAA) hosts Franklin D. Roosevelt (AAA) in the battle of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, high school football. 

New Dorp High School (AAAA) versus John Macchiarola Educational Complex (AA) Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Staten Island. 

Harry S. Truman High School (AAA) hosts Lehman Campus (AAA) Friday at 4:00 p.m. 

Franklin K. Lane Campus (AAA) takes on Transit Tech CTE High School (A) Friday at 4:30 p.m.

Triple-A Dewitt Clinton, the home team, takes on (AAAA) John F. Kennedy (1-0) Friday at 4:00 p.m.  

South Shore High School (AA) squares off against Fort Hamilton (AAA) Saturday at noon at home.

William E. Grady (AA) hosts Brooklyn Technical (AAA) Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
