Junior Iva Corluka of Ardsley High School (N.Y.) and Hoopers NY 17U AAU squad has received an offer from Division II Mercy College Women’s basketball program, today she Tweeted.
The 6-foot-1 forward also holds an offer from DI Utah Valley, but it should not be the last for the talented big, according to sources.
Though Corluka has been with Hoopers NY for a short time, her diligent work ethic and steadfast commitment to improving has led to solid production and a bright future for the gritty player, head coach Dan Melious noted.
“Iva is a hard worker,” Melious said. “Since I got her in May, she has gotten so much better. She’s a tough kid and I’m proud of her. She should have big year ahead.”
The Mavericks posted a 17-10 overall record and went 11-5 in East Coast Conference play in the 2022-23 campaign.
