Brooklyn’s own Zahra King, a point guard from Westtown School (Pa.), whom ESPN ranked as the 76th-best senior prospect in the nation, has verbally committed to play Division I college basketball at the University of California, yesterday she announced via X.
The 5-foot-10 King, who also played AAU basketball for New Heights NYC, holds a distinct advantage over her opponents, given her athletic nature and left-handed scoring ability.
She averaged 10.7 points, 2.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game in 34 contests across three high school seasons, per MaxPreps.com.
