Zeynep Ozel of Blair Academy, Jersey Gemz Commits to Dartmouth

Class of 2024 Blair Academy High School (N.J.) and Jerzy Gems 17U’s Zeynep Ozel has verbally committed to Dartmouth Big Green Women’s basketball program, today she announced via X.

Also, the 5-foot-8 guard had received offers from Stetson, Bryant, Sacred Heart, Hofstra, among interest from other programs, according to her X account.

Ozel, who is also an excellent student who sports a 5.5/6.0 GPA and scored 1410 on her SAT, drained 303 points, grabbed 84 rebounds, dished out 81 assists and made 36 steals in 27 tilts in the 2022-23 New Jersey Girls’ high school campaign.

Ozel, who played hoops for Team Sharp’s 16U squad, had made the All-Mid-Atlantic Prep League (MAPL) and All-State Teams last season.

The Big Green is off to 1-2 and will travel to New Hampshire Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
