Jack Melore, a senior wide receiver/defensive back at Smithtown West High School (Long Island, N.Y.), has picked up an offer from Division I Stony Brook University football program, today he announced via X.
Melore enjoyed a stellar senior season, recording 78 receptions for 1,258 yards with 21 touchdowns. Defensively, he also had five interceptions, two forced fumbles, one scoop-and-score and five pass break ups.
Melore set the all-time Long Island high school career receiving yards and career reception records. Additionally, the 6-foot-1, 185-pounder is an excellent athlete, having been named to All-County, 2nd Team All-Long Island, and 3rd Team All-State in football and basketball All-County, All Long Island and All-State teams.
The Seawolves finished with 0-10 overall record and went 0-8 in Colonial Athletic Assocation (CAA) conference play in the 2023 campaign.
