Ex-Long Island Ducks and veteran MLB outfielder Alex Dickerson has signed a contract with the Chunichi Dragons of Japan’s NPB, today Ducks general manager Michael Pfaff announced via X.
Dickerson batted .314 with 26 home runs, 91 RBI, 231 total bases, .576 slugging percentage and 965 OPS for the Ducks last Atlantic League season. He led the Long Island in all of the aforementioned offensive categories, excluding runs batted in, earning the team’s Most Valuable Player award.
The 33-year-old played six campaigns in MLB for the San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants and Atlanta Braves, totaling a .255 batting average, .460 slugging percentage, 40 longballs and 132 RBI in 902 at-bats.
