The Lake Country DockHounds have re-signed former New York Mets farmhand and Louisville infielder Blake Tiberi for the upcoming 2024 independent American Assocation campaign, yesterday the league announced via X.
Tiberi batted .303 with eight home runs, 33 RBI, 22 doubles and ten stolen bases in 370 at-bats in 95 games last season with Lake Country.
Defensively, the 28-year-old was the American Assocation’s top-fielding second baseman in 2023, making just three errors in 296 chances, good for a .990 fielding percentage.
Selected in the third round of the 2016 MLB Amateur Draft, Tiberi spent a total of five years in the Mets’ minor league system. He hit .239 with 59 doubles, 12 longballs and 103 RBI in 1132 at-bats in 318 tilts.
Tiberi enjoyed a solid two years at Louisville, slugging .319 and going yard 14 times with 69 RBI along with a stellar slash line of .371/,518/.889.
