The Cleburne Railroaders of the independent American Assocation of Professional Baseball (AAPB) have signed right-handed pitcher Jesse Estrada to a contract for the upcoming 2024 campaign, yesterday the league announced via X.
The 40-year-old had posted a 1-4 record and a 4.71 ERA in 63.0 innings of work in 28 games with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs of the independent Atlantic League.
Born in El Paso, Texas, Estrada has registered a 72-79 record, including going 32-36 in various Mexican leagues, over the span of 18 seasons of professional baseball.
The Chicago Cubs selected Estrada in the 31st round of the 2004 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Grayson College in Denison, Texas. He reached as high as AAA twice with the Cubs in 2008 and 2009.
