On Wednesday, January. 31st at 6:00 p.m., come meet-and-greet Olympic Gold medalist Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone at Books & Greetings at 271 Livingston Street in Northvale, N.J.

Who can forget the Dunellen, New Jersey, native’s remarkable performance at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics?

McLaughlin-Levrone captured a gold medal in the 400-meter hurdles, breaking the world record with a time of 51.46, and also winning a gold medal for the 4×400-meter relay.

McLaughlin-Levrone again shattered the 400-meter hurdle record and won a gold medal at the 2022 Track and Field World Championships in Eugene, Oregon. 

Prior to her professional career, McLaughlin competed at the University of Kentucky.

Before that, McLaughlin-Levrone attended Union Catholic in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. She competed in the 2016 Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro while still in high school and claimed Gatorade’s National Female High School Track and Field Athlete of the Year for two years in a row.
