Ex-Long Island Ducks infielder Jonathan Guzman has been signed by the Miami Marlins, today the team announced via X.
In 55 games with the independent Ducks of the Atlantic League in 2023, Guzman, 24, hit .260 with a homer, 22 RBI, seven doubles and 18 runs scored in 158 at-bats.
Guzman, a Dominican Republic native, played with the Philadelphia Phillies and Arizona Diamondbacks organizations across seven minor league seasons, reaching Double-A twice with Reading (2022, Phillies) and Amarillo (2023, Arizona).
