Brooklyn’s Lincoln High School senior running back Shayden Compton and senior wide receiver/defensive back Jamie Whyte have earned offers from Division III Utica University Pioneers football program, yesterday both players wrote on X.
The offers are contingent upon successful completion of the financial aid and admission processes at the school.
For Compton, this was his second college football offer, as his first came from D3 Massachusetts Maritime, per his X feed.
Meanwhile, the 6-foot-2, 180-pound Whyte, a two-sport (track & field) athlete at Lincoln, possesses impressive jumping and speed abilities, as he owns a 41-inch vertical leap and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.48 seconds, according to his X account.
Both players helped the Railsplitters to a 6-2 regular season record and a PSAL 4A semi-final appearance against Tottenville, a 43-15 defeat.
Utica posted a 9-2 overall mark and went 4-2 in Empire 8 Conference action during the 2023 campaign.
