Whippany Park High School (N.J.) offensive/defensive lineman Peter J Urato has committed to Division III Fairleigh Dickinson University Devils football, yesterday he announced on X.
The 6-foot, 240-pound Urato earned a North Jersey Super Football Conference Young Man of the Year nomination for Whippany Park.
Wildcat football head coach Luke Maginnis sang the praises of Urato, as he said on X that he was honored to coach and get to know him as a complete student-athlete.
“Can not even begin to say how PROUD I am of this young man right here,” Maginnis wrote on X. “@CoachAVC_FDU (Coach Anthony Van Curen) is getting an absolutely DUDE on & off the field THANK YOU for letting me help you along the recruiting process and leaving @WhippanyParkFB better than you found it.”
The Devils posted a 5-5 overall record and went 4-5 in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) action this past season.
