Brooklyn native and class of 2024 Northwest Florida State (Fla./NJCAA) guard Tajuan Simpkins has received an offer from Division I Oakland University Golden Grizzlies Men’s basketball program, recently he wrote on X.
In addition to the Oakland offer, the 6-foot-5, 185-pound redshirted freshman holds offers from Rider, Siena, Georgia Southern, North Carolina A&T, Southern Indiana, Nothern Illinois, Radford, Northwestern State, North Carolina Central, Hofstra University, Cal State Bakersfield and Eastern Kentucky, according to VerbalCommits.com.
Simpkins, a Liberty Heights Athletic Institute graduate, is averaging 14.1 points, four boards, and two assists per game through 27 contests so far this campaign with the Raiders.
Oakland is 19-11 overall and 14-5 Horizon League Conference action across 30 games so far this season.
Northwest Florida State is 25-4 and 8-3 in Florida College System Athletic Assocation (FCSAA) conference play across 29 tilts.
