SI FerryHawks Add Pitchers Rutkowski and Dyson for the 2024 Season


The Staten Island FerryHawks have recently signed a pair of arms in the form of Harry Rutkowski and Tyler Dyson for the upcoming 2024 Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) campaign, the team wrote on X.

Rutkowski, 24, a New Jersey native, played four seasons of collegiate baseball at Rutgers University (N.J.), going 7-2 in 68 innings of work in 12 games between the Dunedin Blue Jays (Single-A) and the Gastonia Honey Hunters (ALPB).

The Cincinatti Reds picked Rutkowski, righty, in the 28th round of the 2017 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Woodbridge High School (Woodbridge, NJ).

Dyson, 26, a lefty pitcher, climb the bump last year for the Washington Nationals’ Florida Complex League (FCL) affiliate, posting a 0-1 record. In three minor league seasons with the Nationals’ farm system, Dyson went 3-5 with a 3.27 ERA in 74.1 frames in 26 contests.

The Washington Nationals selected Dyson in the fifth round of the 2019 MLB June Amateur Draft out of the University of Florida (Gainesville, Fla.).
