Cleburne Railroaders have signed former New York Yankee farmhand and infielder Cito Culver for the upcoming 2024 independent American Association (AA) campaign, yesterday the league wrote on X. Culver last played in the AA in 2020 with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.
Culver, 31, spent 2023 with the Tri-City Valley Cats (Frontier League), hitting .299 with 12 home runs, 53 RBI while slashing .402/.443/.845 with 65 walks and 15 stolen bases in 375 at bats in 95 games.
A former first round selection of the Yankees in the 2010 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Irondequoit High School in Rochester, N.Y., Culver has played nine seasons of affiliated minor league baseball.
