Jackson Heights, Queens, N.Y., native David Murray of Division III Connecticut College Men’s basketball yesterday has verbally committed to D-I Merrimack Men’s basketball program, per reports, after playing four years as a Camel.
Murray, a 6-foot-7, 245-pound power forward, is a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Player of the Year and first-team All-American averaged 17.7 points and 8.9 rebounds while leading the conference with 53 blocks. Additionally, he made All-NESCAC Second Team in 2023.
Murray is a graduate transfer with a year of hoops eligibility remaining.
The Warriors posted a 21-12 record and went 13-3 in Northeast Conference (NEC) action this past season.
