Former Padre Farmhand Aaron Leasher Inks with SI FerryHawks

The Staten Island FerryHawks of the independent Atlantic League have added their second pitcher off the day, as Aaron Leasher has signed with the squad, the team wrote on X.

The FerryHawks have signed pitcher, Aaron Leasher. The lefty was drafted by the Padres in 2017 and made it as high as AAA within their farm system. Leasher, 27, spilt last season with the San Diego Padres’ San Antonio Mission (AA) and El Paso Chihuahuas (AAA), posting a 3-3 record with 5.37 ERA in 63.2 innings of work in 29 games.

Leasher has recorded a 32-32 mark with a 3.99 ERA 492.1 frames in 138 contests across six minor league seasons.

The Padres selected Leasher in the 6th round of the 2017 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Morehead State University before embarking on a professional baseball career.
