Matt Zona to Leave Notre Dame for Fordham Hoops

Former University of Notre Dame forward Matt Zona is transferring to Fordham University Rams Men’s basketball program, today he announced on X.

Zona, a senior, averaged 2.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in 32 contests with the Fighting Irish in the 2023-24 campaign.

Zona–a 6-foot-9, 252-pound Blauvelt, N.Y., native–played high basketball at Bergen Catholic in Oradell, N.J.

Fordham posted a 13-20 record and went 6-12 in Atlantic-10 Conference action in the 2023-24 campaign.
