Bronx Big Man Steven Solano Picks Saint Joseph’s Hawks Hoops


Class of 2024 La Lumiere Prep High School (Ind.) center Steven Solano, a Bronx, N.Y., native, has committed to Division I Saint Joseph’s Men’s basketball program, today VerbalCommits.com announced on X.

The 6-foot-11, 235-pound Solano, who played prep hoops for Christ the King High School in Queens, N.Y., picked the Hawks over 15 other D-1 college basketball programs including St. Bonaventure, St. John’s, Oklahoma State, NJIT, Fordham, Bryant, among others, according to VerbalCommits.com.

Saint Joseph’s posted a 21-14 overall record and went 9-9 in Atlantic 10 Conference action this past season.
