Class of 2025 Saint Dominic High School (N.Y.) and Team Lightning Melious’ Brianna Deputy has verbally committed to Division III SUNY Maritime College (Bronx, N.Y.) Women’s basketball program, today head coach Dan Melious announced on X.
Additionally, Deputy held an offer from Maine Washington Country College (D-1 JUCO) before committing to Maritime, per her X account.
Deputy, a guard, does a lot of things well on the hardwood. She is a skilled long-range shooter, and gets to the rim with a burst of speed. She also draws defenses to her, selflessly giving her a chance to find an open teammate or threading the needle to give another player an opportunity at scoring a bucket.
Defensively, Deputy owns a knack for disrupting the opposition’s offense due to her high motor and ability to get into lanes for the steal.
Please check out a few of Deputy’s highlights below.
Maritime joins the Skyline Conference as it is set to compete in its inaugural season in the 2024-25 campaign.
