West Orange High School (N.J.) and Team Lightning Melious 17U NE2K rising senior guard Kyley Gary-Grayson has picked an offer from Division I Coppin State University Women’s basketball program, today her AAU coach Dan Melious wrote on X.
In addition to the Coppin State offer, she holds a D-2 offer from powerhouse Lander University.
Gary-Grayson dropped in 334 points (second on the squad), grabbed 87 rebounds and made a team-leading 74 steals in 28 games for the Mountaineers in the 2023-24 New Jersey Girl’s High School campaign.
Gary-Grayson is a solid overall player, with a nice outside shot, wise ball distribution-making skills, and the ability to drive and get to the hoop, using her body well to absorb contact as she scores. Defensively, she often jumps into lanes to swipe the ball and is a relentless on-ball defender.
Coppin State posted a 12-18 overall record and went 8-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference action this past season.
