2026 Bergen Catholic High School (N.J.) guard/forward Julius Avent has garnered an offer from Division I Virginia Tech Men’s basketball program, today sports media outlets have reported via X.
The 6-foot-7 Avent, who also suits up for the PSA Cardinals AAU squad, currently holds offers from Seton Hall, Villanova, George Washington, Quinnipiac, NJIT and Washington, according VerbalCommits.com.
Avent enjoyed an impressive sophomore season at Bergen Catholic, scoring 324 points and grabbing 121 rebounds in 28 games played in the 2023-24 campaign.
The Hokies posted a 19-15 record and went 10-10 in Atlantic Coast Conference action in the 2023-24 season.
