Class of 2025 Worcester Academy (Mass.) shooting guard Jake Blackburn has received an offer from Division I Marist College Red Foxes Men’s basketball program, he recently wrote on X.
In addition to the Marist offer, the 6-foot-5 Worcester, Mass., native currently holds offers from Fordham, Binghamton, Maine, Canisius, Boston University, Stonehill and Holy Cross, according to VerbalCommits.com.
Blackburn, who also suits up for the House We Built AAU squad, is a pure shooter. The southpaw sniper can connect from way deep behind the arc, as well as catch and shoot, with his quick release, from anywhere on the hardwood. Also, he plays a solid defense, and moves well with the ball, which allows him to get open for the good look.
The Red Foxes posted a 18-13 overall record and went 12-8 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) action in the 2023-24 campaign.
