Rutgers University Men’s basketball program has offered guard Aiden Derkack of Colonia High School (N.J.), today he wrote via X.
Derkack, who also plays for Team Final Nike EYBL, drained team-bests in points (619), rebounds (241), assists (100) and steals (58) in 31 games played for Colonia in the 2023-24 campaign.
The rising junior has also earned offers the likes of TCU, Villanova, Albany, among others.
Derkack helped pace the Patriots to their third straight North 2, Group 3 Championship with a 61-53 victory over Milburn this past season.
Derkack is the younger brother of Jordan, who played with Merrimack in 2023-24, averaging 17.7 points, six rebounds while contributing 3.9 assists per game. He will suit up for the Scarlet Knights this coming season.
He also has a sister, Taylor, who starred at Colonia High School and is headed to UMass Women’s basketball program in the fall.
Rutgers posted a 15-17 record and went 7-13 in Big 10 Conference in the 2023-24 campaign.
