On Sunday, July 20th, the first 1,000 fans through the gates at Mirabito Stadium, home of the Double-A Binghamton Rumble Ponies (New York Mets), will receive a one-of-a-kind Char-pit Charlie bobblehead.
Each bobblehead comes with paint supplies to create your own masterpiece.
The iconic Lupo’s Spiedies S&S Char-Pit restaurant, located on Binghamton’s North Side, had been serving mouthwatering Spiedies subs and other grilled specialties for over four decades. Unfortunately for its loyal patrons, it closed its doors in January 2023 after 45 years of operation.
The Rumble Ponies will face the Erie Seawolves, the Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, at 6:07 p.m.
