Class of 2025 Governor’s Academy (Mass.) guard Momo Nkugwa has received an offer from Division I Iona University Gaels Men’s basketball program, yesterday he wrote via X.
The 6-foot-3 rising senior, who also suits up for MassRivals 3SSB, holds D-1 offers from Manhattan, Albany, Canisus, Stonehill, Maine, Fairfield, Saint Michael’s and Ivy League Brown, per VerbalCommits.com.
Nkugwa is a competent scorer, hitting shot from the perimeter and delivering dunks in the lane. Also, he gets off and going well in transition, and is difficult for defenders to contain while in front of them.
Iona posted a 16-17 overall record and went 10-10 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action in the 2023-24 campaign.
