It was history in the making at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Jack Alexy–a Delbarton high school graduate in Morristown, New Jersey–became the first-ever Olympic swimming medalist for the Garden State, after leading off and helping the USA 400-freestyle relay team capture its first gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Now, Olympic swimming insiders believe he is poised to challenge for the gold in the 100-meter freestyle event.
Alexy, 21, is a 6-foot-8, 215-pound Mendham, N.J., native, who also swims for the University of California, Berkley Golden Bears.
Alexy has been extremely successful for the Golden Bears, with numerous impressive college swimming accolades to his credit. He was part of the team that captured the National Championship in the 800-meter freestyle relay in 2024.
Additionally, he is a 14-time College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) All-American. Also, in 2024, he has earned those honors in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 200 free relay, 200 medley relay, 800 free relay and 400 free relay events.
Along with these 2023 races: 50 free, 100 free, 200 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. And in 2022: 200 free relay and 400 free relay competitions.
