Mamaroneck High School’s Will Plunkett Commits to Binghamton University Baseball Program

Will Plunkett of Mamaroneck High School (N.Y.) baseball team has verbally committed to Division I Binghamton University’s baseball program, yesterday he announced on X.

Mamaroneck High School’s Will Plunket picks D-1 Binghamton Baseball.

Plunkett is a rising junior who plays shortstop primarily but has also manned third base and second base for his high school squad, as well as Team Crush Baseball.

The 6-foot-3, 193-pound versatile infielder owns a well-balanced, smooth, quick swing with nice gap-to-gap power with an exit velocity that has been clocked as high as 98 miles per hour, per source.

Defensively, Plunkett displays soft hands with a quick, clean transfer, according to high school baseball scouts.

Since Plunkett is young, he will have the opportunity to physically develop his frame and add more polish and power to his already sweet swing.

The Bearcats posted a 21-29 overall record and went 10-14 in America East Conference (AEC) action in the 2023-24 season.
