Eli Serrano III, Nick Roselli, and Jacoby Long Shine in St. Lucie Mets’ Win

The St. Lucie Mets (Low Single-A) did their best with the addition of three recent Mets’ draft picks: Eli Serrano III, Nick Roselli, and Jacoby Long, who all made their debuts and drove in runs in the team’s 3-2 road win over the Daytona Tortugas (53-53/Cincinnati Reds) Tuesday night.

Long, whom New York selected in the 17th round of the 2024 MLB Draft out of the University of Miami, went 2-3 with the go-ahead RBI, a run scored, and a walk.

Roselli, the Mets’ 11th round MLB Draft pick out of Binghamton, collected his first professional baseball hit, which wound up being the game-winning single in the top of the ninth.

Nick Roselli grounds one up the middle game-winning run.

Serrano, New York’s fourth round draft pick out of NC State, smacked his first pro hit, a game-tying base hit up the middle.

Righty pitcher Juan Arnaud (3-1) recorded four outs to earn the victory for St. Lucie (36-71).
