There is no doubt that independent professional wrestler standout Izzy Moreno has been catching fire and displaying her worth in and out of the squared circle.
Yesterday, the Mission Pro Wrestling (MPW) Women’s Champ went out and proved just how gifted she is by defending her title against one of the best in the business, AEW star and former Women’s champ Thunder Rosa, whose real name is Melissa Cervantes.
Moreno withstood a vicious Rosa beat down but fought back to stay in the match. She even delivered a demoralizing slap to La Mera Mera’s face.
Then, while locking in the arm bar hold on her opponent, Moreno managed to roll up Rosa and score the 1, 2, 3 pin victory in MPW’s last card of the year, as the federation will be going on a hiatus.
Rosa–who owns the all-female focused, Texas-based pro wrestling promotion–imparted wise and inspirational words to the adolescent grappler and the rest of the locker room after the championship bout.
