Syniya Barton, a rising senior at Monsignor McClancy High School (Queens, N.Y.) and on Rising Stars AAU squad, has verbally committed to Division I Hofstra Pride Women’s basketball program, today her high school girl’s hoops team announced on X.
Barton, a gifted forward and guard, averaged a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds with three steals per game as a junior.
She also averaged 9.7 points, nine rebounds, and two steals per contest as a sophomore. Plus, the Rose Classic Tournament named her Team MVP that same season, per the Tablet Newspaper.
The Pride put up an 11-21 overall record and went 3-15 in Costal Athletic Assocation (CAA) conference in the 2023-24 campaign.
