Carson Benge enjoyed himself a fantastic day, going 3 for 4 with a home run, double, single, walk, three RBI and two runs scored in the Single-A St. Lucie Mets’ 10-7 victory over the Jupiter Hammerheads (25-29, 61-59/Miami Marlins) Wednesday afternoon at Clover Park in Florida State League (FSL) play.

Down 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh, St. Lucie (20-34, 42-78) exploded for six runs to take a commanding 10-5 lead.
First baseman Yohairo Cuevas, right fielder Eli Serrano and left fielder Jacoby Long had two hits each.
Centerfielder A. J. Ewing contributed a hit, two RBI, two runs scored and a walk.
Starting pitcher Joel Díaz went six innings and gave up two runs and scattered nine hits, but did not figure in the decision. Joseph Yabbour (1-0) picked up the victory after allowing one run in 1.1 innings of work.
The two teams meet again Thursday at 6:10 p.m. at Clover Park.
